The "Classic Smoother"

Designed in conjuction with Karl Holtey, a traditionally styled smoothing plane, with handsome lines and fine detailing.

Made from the finest selected timbers and featuring a genuine Karl Holtey made A2 iron, this is a plane which performs as well as it looks! The 3/16ths thick iron, 1 1/2 inches wide, is bedded at 55 degrees to give excellent results on figured timbers and hardwoods. The plane has a traditional "coffin" shape with exquisite chamfers and detailing, topped off with the scroll shaped wedge.

We are currently offering this plane in English Box, Santos Rosewood, African Blackwood and English Beech. Other timbers are available on request.
